How to make a large standing rainbow for cakes. I use Saracino modelling paste for my rainbows. I make the rainbow 2 days before it’s needed for the cake and let it set on a piece of parchment/baking paper on a cake board. Every 5-6 hours, I turn the rainbow over, just so it sets evenly each side. I have added rainbows after only setting overnight though, and they have been absolutely fine. I roll my colours out about 8mm thick, you can go thinner for smaller cakes, this was for a 7” cake. I fin
