Part 1 - A nasopharyngoscopy is a medical procedure used to examine the nasal passages and the upper part of the throat (nasopharynx). During this procedure, a thin, flexible tube called an endoscope is inserted through one of the nostrils and passed through the nasal cavity into the nasopharynx. This allows the ENT doctor to visualize the structures of the nose, including the nasal septum, turbinates, and openings to the sinuses, as well as the back of the throat where the adenoids and openings
