The 2023 Rut Mountain Runs @runtherut wrapped up today with a grueling, 31-mile trail run across Lone Mountain and Andesite Mountain. Headlamped runners took off in five waves starting at 6 a.m., and the first runner crossed the finish line just before 11 a.m. Both male and female winners have been there, done that. Michelino Sunseri, 31, of Driggs, Idaho, finished his second Rut 50K—and second 50K victory—in 4:59:32. Just 30 minutes later, the first female crossed the line. Earning 50K victory

The second day of the 2023 Rut Mountain Runs began bright and early as 28K runners took off at 8 a.m. The air was crisp and clear. With a course altered to accomodate tram construction, top runners noted the pleasant weather and put up strong times. Both winners hail from Boulder, Colorado.
