The Friends of Allegany, in cooperation with Allegany management, have completely refurbished these cabins and #26 (in addition to #1,3& 5) near the new facilities building. These will be available for rent next spring, as they are primitive cabins with no heat source. McIntosh 1,3&5 are already online and rentable until mid fall for only $35 per night. Today's Friends of Allegany Video is of Gypsy 30. Half of the primitive cabins loops (Gypsy, Reed, Circle, Indian and Creekside opened for rental last weekend. These are wood-heated non-electric cabins available for $38.50 per night or $154 for the week. Here’s the progress on the refurbished Ryan Cabins. The interiors have been corn-blasted and are looking fantastic! The fireplaces have been upgraded to inserts with glass doors and new stainless steel chimneys. Number 9, once condemned, will be up and running for the 2018 camping season.
