There was something special about going to the mall on a Saturday in the ’80s, especially when a record store was involved. The rest of the mall almost faded away once you stepped inside. The smell of plastic and cardboard, the walls lined with album covers like they were artwork, and the quiet thrill of knowing you might walk out with something new. You flipped through bins one by one, hoping to spot that cover. Maybe it was Springsteen. Maybe Madonna. Maybe Def Leppard staring back at you like
