Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan left a hospital in India’s financial capital Mumbai on Tuesday, less than a week after he suffered knife injuries in a scuffle with an intruder at his house, local media reported.

Police arrested a 30-year-old man in India’s financial capital Mumbai whom they said was considered the prime suspect in the stabbing of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder with a knife on January 16 inside his home. The accused reportedly stabbed the actor six times, resulting in serious injuries. Since then, Saif has been undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital.

Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday and the actor's security has been beefed up after the stabbing attack.

The police said Mr. Khan was recovering in the hospital after an intruder attacked him. He sustained a major injury to his spinal cord, a doctor said.
