North Omaha community members are asking residents to put down the weapons. It's in response to the latest deadly shooting along 24th Street. The N 24th Street Business Improvement District hosted an event near where the deadly shooting took place.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were injured Saturday and seven were arrested in a north Omaha shooting, police say. About 3:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near 42nd Street and Sorenson Parkway, where they found a 22-year-old woman with gunshot wounds.

So far there is no information on the details of this shooting or if anyone is in custody. This is a developing story and we will provide updates as they become available. Channel 9 has a crew on the way to the scene.
