Manchester City has routed fourth-division Salford City 8-0 in the third round of the FA Cup. Salford is co-owned by Manchester United icons David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville and Nicky Butt.

City are the only Greater Manchester team to have confirmed their spot in the fourth round of the competition after they humbled the Class of 92s Salford City 8-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening. Wigan Athletic will also be drawn out of the hat when the draw is made on Sunday but their place in the next round is not guaranteed.

Also on the front of their shirt, City continue to wear the FIFA Club Champions badge for winning the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia at the end of 2023 and will do so until a new champion is crowned in the revamped 48-team tournament in the United States in the summer.
