Jennifer Garner is chipping in. On Friday, the actress, 52, partnered with World Central Kitchen and Chef José to feed firefighters and evacuees from the Los Angeles wildfires at the Jack in the Box in Altadena.

While the Alias star's current home is still standing, as she has since moved, she explained that she still feels heartbroken for her friends and loved ones who have suffered losses. This has prompted her to do what she can to help out, participating in charity drives and using her voice to help garner national attention. She said:

Jennifer Garner, who has been working to assist and repair the Pacific Palisades community through the raging California wildfires, said that one of her friends died amid the fires.

The "13 Going on 30" actress said she "almost" feels "guilty" walking through her house, which was spared from the destructive fire.

Garner, who was interviewed alongside World Central Kitchen’s Chef José Andrés, said that her “heart bleeds” for those affected by the fires, including her friends. “I mean, I can think of 100 families, and there are 5,000 homes lost,” she said, noting that she “could just write out a list of 100 friends who lost their homes.”

She didn’t get out in time,” said the 52-year-old actress, who has lived in and around the Pacific Palisades for 25 years.
