Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s leftwing party has won most seats in the weekend parliamentary election but was left without a majority in the house, forcing it to look for an ally to form the next government.

Kosovo's ruling Vetevendosje party came first in Sunday's parliamentary election, but fell short of an outright majority needed to rule without coalition partners, preliminary results showed on Monday.
