The New Orleans Coroner's Office has identified two men killed in separate shootings earlier this week. The deaths of Dave Jefferson and Antonio Rainey, both 45, have been classified as homicides and the investigation into their deaths is ongoing.

Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams scorched Sheriff Susan Hutson for failing to order an investigation into the crime scene where 10 inmates escaped from jail.
