Katherine Legge became the first woman to race in the NASCAR Cup Series race since 2018 on Sunday at Phoenix Raceway.

Katherine Legge will make her Cup Series debut at Phoenix Raceway, becoming the first woman to compete at NASCAR's highest level since Danica Patrick in 2018.

Legge, a 20-year veteran of motorsports, joins Live Fast Motorsports for a one-off race in the No. 78, which co-owner BJ McCloud usually drives. While things have been happening behind the scenes to get Legge into a Cup car, the partnership with BJ and Jessica McCloud's Live Fast Motorsports came together quickly.
