After putting up seven on the White Sox in their home opener on Friday afternoon, Detroit did not let a chill cool them off on Saturday. The Tigers scored seven runs in the first three innings and managed to coast the rest of the way to a 7-2 victory.

Kerry Carpenter homered for the third time in two games and Spencer Torkelson had a home run and a double as the Detroit Tigers beat the Chicago White Sox 7-2 for their fourth win in five games following an opening three-game skid.
