Phoenix police are investigating a shooting that left a 20-year-old man dead. Officers responded to a call regarding a shooting in the area of 3rd and Jones avenues on June 14. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers were initially dispatched to the 6500 block of Routt Street regarding a call about a shooting. Police ended up in the backyard of a residence in the 3000 block of Forest Ave. and found the man suffering from “gunshot wounds to his upper body/torso,” a news release from the department said.
