A man is dead and one person was sent to the hospital following a Saturday evening crash in Putnam County, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers.

The driver of a pickup truck died over the weekend after crashing into a semi truck that was attempting a u-turn on a South Carolina Road, officials report. At around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, police said a Ford Ranger pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer on Flat Creek Road at Pit-A-Tat Road -- which is about eight miles north of the city of Lancaster.
