But the Notre Dame women's basketball team has a tradition, too, and that involves the players and coaches painting their nails green for the NCAA Tournament. It's a tradition that dates back to 1997, the year the Irish made their first Final Four. It began during that run and has been ongoing with the Irish ever since.
