Parts of North Texas have already seen a significant amount of snow, with more expected in the coming hours. Snow has been falling in Denton and Collin County for a decent amount of the day, while Tarrant County and Dallas County have seen less snow. Areas like Prosper and Bonham saw six inches of snow or more reported by 9 p.m.
How much snow is expected in the Dallas, Fort Worth Metroplex?
Ray predicts 2 to 5 inches of snow could fall for parts of the Metroplex. Up to 8 inches is forecasted to fall in counties closer to the Red River. "Not all of this will stick at first but expect our first accumulating snow in almost a year," Ray said.
