Colorado Springs meat and retail workers voted 99% in favor of striking, according to a social media post from the union. They will join the employees at the Fountain Safeway and one location in Pueblo, who began their picket lines over the weekend.
Pueblo and Pueblo West Safeway workers have joined a United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 strike seeking better pay, staffing and benefits.
