The launch of Nintendo Switch 2 preorders turned into digital chaos overnight. Preorders for the new gaming system officially opened at midnight ET across several major retailers, leaving buyers frustrated as websites crashed and inventory vanished within minutes.

Two general buying options have been provided by Nintendo for the Switch 2: The standard console is priced at $449.99 and a bundle of the console and the new Mario Kart World game is available for $499.99. Since Mario Kart World alone retails for $79.99, the bundle is a great value if you want to get into the new racing game immediately.
