A West Fargo native is chosen to serve as North Dakota’s next Superintendent of Public Instruction. Governor Kelly Armstrong announces West Fargo School District Business Manager Levi Bachmeier will take over for outgoing Kirsten Baesler.

BISMARCK, N.D. (Valley News Live) - North Dakota will get a new schools superintendent on Tuesday, Oct. 21, when Gov. Kelly Armstrong announces his appointment to replace Kirsten Baesler, who’s leaving for a federal education post.

Locals in Williston who are thinking about running for office will have an opportunity to attend a forum where they can learn about everything from campaigning to what it means to actually serve.

Governor Kelly Armstrong has released the following statement about the appointment of Levi Bachmeier as the state’s next Superintendent of Public Instruction.

• Gov. John Hoeven (R), elected in 2000, is up for re-election in 2004. Sen. Byron Dorgan and Sen. Kent Conrad, both Democrats, are up for re-election in 2004 and 2006, respectively.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Governor Kelly Armstrong named Levi Bachmeier as the next Superintendent of Public Instruction. Bachmeier is the business manager for the West Fargo School District and previously served as an education policy adviser for former Governor Doug Burgum.
