Initial speculation for a replacement settled around free agent Sam Darnold. But The Seattle Times' veteran reporter Bob Condotta suggests another name could be in the running: Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was cut by the New York Jets on Feb.

That being said, Adam Schefter has now spoken out with his thoughts on the Rodgers to the Steelers rumors. During a recent appearance, Schefter made it clear that he does not see Rodgers ending up in Pittsburgh. "Maybe but doubtfully the Pittsburgh Steelers,” Schefter said.

Over the last couple of days, the rumors connecting Aaron Rodgers and the New York Giants have become very loud. At this point in time, they appear to be the front-runners to sign the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
