It is worth noting that Mavs head coach Jason Kidd previously said he expects Irving to play on Friday.

Irving hasn’t played in nearly two weeks due to illness and a back injury, leaving the Luka Doncic-less Mavericks even more shorthanded.

Kyrie Irving produced a game-high 33 points to lead the Mavericks, while Daniel Gafford added a career-high 31 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks.
