LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were killed Tuesday in a crash near Grand Island during a winter storm. The crash happened around 4 p.m. on westbound Interstate 80 near mile marker 310, just south of Grand Island. The Nebraska State Patrol said a vehicle lost control, crossed the median and hit an eastbound semi.

Part of Interstate 80 is open in Lincoln, but it remains closed to Grand Island after a blizzard moved through Nebraska on Tuesday night.

At around 11:20 a.m. the Nebraska Department of Transportation said I-80 was entirely reopened. Officials ask that drivers continue to use “extreme caution” as roads are icy and snow-packed.

The Nebraska Lottery confirmed that one ticket matched all five winning numbers for the $90,000 jackpot. The ticket was sold at Pumpers, 1904 N Diers Ave. in Grand Island. The winning numbers from Wednesday's Nebraska Pick 5 draw were 13, 18, 19, 21, 31.

At 11 a.m. Wednesday the Nebraska Department of Transportation road condition map indicated that Interstate 80 across the entire state.

The business reported that an individual had been entering their parking lot late at night and loading a flatbed trailer with wooden pallets from behind the store. The suspect allegedly stole over 150 pallets that night and has stolen more than 1,000 pallets in recent months.

Multiple crashes, including at least one fatality crash, have been reported along Interstate 80 in Nebraska Tuesday evening.According to the Nebraska 511, I-80 in both directions is closed between Exit 312 near Grand Island to 27th Street in Lincoln.
