Madison Keys and Coco Gauff will be among the names that home fans will be the most excited to watch at Indian Wells this year.

Madison Keys weighed in on her thoughts on the possibility of American tennis players, including herself, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula and others, winning the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

Gauff reached the Indian Wells semifinal last year but this year enters the tournament on a three-match losing streak.

The Japanese has caught the attention of tennis fans with her performances as she knocked out a Grand Slam champion in Emma Raducanu in the first round. The World No. #52 has been making waves in 2025 with her eye-catching matches in the Australian Open and Dubai Tennis Championships. It will be an interesting battle on Saturday.

Two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, five-time Indian Wells winner Novak Djokovic and American firepower led by former winner Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton take the court on the men's side. Women's second-round play features Australian Open champion Madison Keys, third-seeded American Coco Gauff and top-seed Aryna Sabalenka.

Perhaps there were some early signs of rust, but American Madison Keys showed no letdown from her breakthrough Australian Open victory in January. Keys quickly dispatched Anastasia Potapova of Russia on Saturday in her opening match at the BNP Paribas Open, winning 6-3, 6-0 in a match that lasted 63 minutes.

Gauff went 0-2 in the WTA Middle East Swing after losing to Paula Badosa in the Australian Open quarterfinal. Today, Gauff snapped the losing streak with a hard-fought win against Moyuka Uchijima in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. Uchijima was coming off of a strong showing against Emma Raducanu on Thursday.
