Park City Mountain's ski patrollers approved a new contract with Vail Resorts, ending a 13-day strike. Ski patrol and mountain safety workers plan to return to the slopes Thursday. The new contract includes wage increases, parental leave policies, educational opportunities and a sustainable pay scale.

Park City Mountain ski patrol reached a tentative agreement to end their strike at the Vail Resorts-owned Utah ski destination and are scheduled to vote on the deal Wednesday. The nearly two-week work stoppage had created massive disruptions at one of the largest ski resorts in North America.

News of the agreement between Park City and its ski patrol union came after a lot of back and forth between the two parties. Much of it in the public eye.

Over in Colorado, ski patrollers from Eldora and Loveland resorts demonstrated outside Vail’s headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado, On Dec. 30. On New Year’s Eve, unions at Breckenridge, Crested Butte and Keystone sent a letter to Vail demanding the company stop pressuring its patrollers to leave.

Ski patrollers at Park City Mountain Resort appear to be headed back to the slopes. Park City Mountain and Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association announced late Tuesday that they have reached a new tentative agreement through April 2027.
