Norwegian Olympic gold medalists Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang are accused of adding extra material to the crotch of their ski suits, potentially allowing them to travel further in air.

All five members of the men’s team who competed at the world championships were found to have cheated and have now been suspended, along with their head coach and two staffers.

Team officials are accused of altering athletes' suits to enhance their aerodynamics. The suspension by International Ski and Snowboard Federation (IFS) follows last week's FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.

Norway was caught red-handed for engaging in blatant crotch cheating at an event over the weekend, when officials were caught adding extra material to the crotch of jumping suits in an effort to make Norwegian athletes soar further in the air. They essentially constructed a crotch sail, modifying pre-approved suits.

Ski jumpers Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang have been provisionally suspended, along with three Norwegian team officials, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) announced on Wednesday.

The Norwegian ski federation has suspended a ski jumping coach and an equipment manager over their alleged role in a cheating scandal which shook the world championships this weekend.
