The Central Moon Sighting Committees in Saudi Arabia, UAE, other Muslim-majority nations along with US, Australia, UK, Phillipines have called Muslims to sight Ramadan crescent moon or Ramzan Chand tonight to determine fasting dates.

The crescent moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, with Roza starting from Saturday. In India, Roza begins from Sunday. Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, New Zealand and Australia have also announced the dates for Ramadan.

Ramadan 2025 will soon be announced as moon sightings in Saudi Arabia, the UK and Morocco take place. Saudi Arabian astronomers are expected to declare the start of Ramadan this evening, following a sighting of the crescent moon.

Ramzan is a sacred Islamic period that falls in the ninth month of the Hijri or Islamic lunar calendar. The sacred fasting period leading up to Eid 2025 is expected to commence on the evening of February 28,
