MONTREAL — Mercedes driver George Russell retained his Canadian GP win on Sunday after F1 stewards rejected a Red Bull post-race protest. After a hearing involving both teams, Russell, Verstappen, and the FIA, the stewards found the protest admissible but ultimately dismissed it, saying the protest was “not founded.”
Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has confirmed that George Russell is here to stay in the team after his spectacular race finish in Canada.
