India's prime minister marked the opening of a tunnel in the northeast of disputed Kashmir that will grant all-year accessibility to a town that is isolated by heavy snow each winter.

Sonamarg: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the 6.5km Z-Morh Tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Sonamarg town, boosting year-round tourism in the town. Addressing the rally, the Prime Minister praised Jammu and Kashmir as India's crown.

The security forces on Sunday intensified sanitization efforts and area domination exercise in Kashmir, a day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the valley for the inauguration of the strategically important Z-Morh tunnel in Ganderbal district,

Omar Abdullah Monday praised PM Narendra Modi for his efforts in bridging the gap between "Dil (heart) and Delhi" and holding assembly polls in the Union Territory while exuding confidence that the statehoood promise would soon be fulfilled.
