Arsenal: Mikel Arteta offers injury update on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli's Champions League hopes - Arsenal take on PSV in the last-16 of the Champions League next month

Arsenal suffered yet another hamstring injury when Gabriel Martinelli was injured against Newcastle on February 5. He departed during the first half of action at St James' Park and, like Saka, Arsenal are hopeful he returns following the next international break in late March.

Arsenal’s dynamic winger, Bukayo Saka, has been sidelined since December following a hamstring tear. Initially expected to be out until March, the club recently sparked hope among fans with images of Saka working out in a gym in Dubai.

Havertz tore his hamstring when blocking a shot in training in Dubai and Arsenal have confirmed he will not return until next season. The striker has confirmed he underwent a successful operation on Saturday, as he targets a return to fitness in the summer.

Arsenal are hopeful of a double injury boost well before the end of the season, by having both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli back in the fold for the run-in.

Gabriel Martinelli ’s hamstring injury has seen Arsenal ’s January transfer window gamble backfire almost immediately. The Brazil international hobbled off in midweek during the first half of his side’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg defeat against Newcastle.

Arsenal are hoping to have both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli back from injury after the next international break.
