ATLANTA -- The cause of death for DJ Unk, the Atlanta rapper known for 2000s hit songs “Walk It Out” and “2 Step,” has been revealed days after his death on Jan. 24 at age 43.

The wife of Anthony Leonard Platt, the man better known as Atlanta hip-hop icon DJ Unk, has revealed the cause of his death.

DJ Unk, the Atlanta rapper behind the 2006 snap smash "Walk It Out," has died at age 43, his family shared on social media Friday (Jan. 24). The cause of death has not been publicly revealed. His wife Sherkita Long-Platt wrote on Facebook,

Atlanta rapper DJ Unk, best known for his hit hip-hop songs “Walk It Out” and “2 Step” of the early aughts, has died. He was 43, according to statements posted by his family and collaborators confirming his death.
