German supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG plans to end use of the TRW name after completing the integration process of its $12.4 billion acquisition of Livonia-based TRW Automotive Inc. in May 2015.
ZF CEO Stefan Sommer said the local employee count for Livonia-based TRW should remain stable. The integration of the two companies is expected to last three to five years.
The product release builds on ZF's growth in 2024, during which 810 new parts were launched for passenger cars in North America.
