It's now the second year in a row that the Steelers have essentially gotten backed into a quarterback corner where the only real hope is that Aaron Rodgers wants to be their starting QB. A year ago, Rodgers was a free agent from the Jets who originally had multiple suitors until the market whittled down to just Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Steelers General Manager Omar Khan spoke in late February at the NFL Scouting Combine about the future of the team. It was no surprise that Khan had to address the quarterback position fairly early in his availability.

New Pittsburgh Steelers WR Michael Pittman is in the dark as well when it comes to Aaron Rodgers. Appearing on Good Morning Football, Pittman said he has no idea if Rodgers will re-sign with the Steelers or retire from the NFL.

As the wait for Aaron Rodgers to decide about his future continues, the Pittsburgh Steelers don't appear to be anxious to add a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.
