Central North Carolina should see rain before a mix of freezing rain or sleet and snow sweeps across the area. Light rain is expected Wednesday, Feb. 4, according to the National Weather Service.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We are tracking the potential for a little snow accumulation Friday along with freezing rain potential. Then, we’ll eventually work towards a warmer pattern next week. Thursday night: Mainly cloudy tonight with lows occurring near midnight in the upper teens to low 20s.

Interesting week for many who enjoy riding the snow. There were several days of sunshine this week, so if "spring riding" is what you enjoy then this was a great week. Not much snow to work with but the resorts that are open have been fantastic at shifting the snow around for great days.

There are going to be a few scattered snow/graupel/rain showers around on Wednesday and it will be breezy/gusty as a disturbance passes through our area.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A strong cold front will pass through Southwest and Central Virginia on Friday. Rain and snow showers will have the chance to pass through, with arctic air and gusty winds following behind.
