Apple unveils iPhone 17
Digest more
iOS 26 is coming on September 15, and it brings with it a huge number of upgrades and features. The big change to the new operating system is its all-new design language, which Apple dubs Liquid Glass, unifying many design aspects of all of Apple’s major operating systems.
All of Apple's 26 platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, are launching in full next week.
Following Tuesday's event, new Liquid Glass icons for Apple Store, Clips, GarageBand, iMovie, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages have surfaced
For iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, Apple has dropped just a handful of the oldest models supported by iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. But macOS 26 drops support for all but a handful of the remaining Intel Macs, and next year’s macOS 27 will drop Intel support entirely.
Apple barely mentioned AI at its big hardware launch. Maybe that was smart. But 2026 will need to be different.
