I have four huge ‘Limelight’ hydrangea shrubs in my yard. I cut them back every winter and fertilize as needed and every year, they produce beautiful blooms—some are at least the size of my head!
Hydrangea macrophylla (Bigleaf Hydrangea): This variety is most commonly affected by soil pH. It includes both Mophead and Lacecap types. The color change is most dramatic in these hydrangeas.
