The American had asked UFC CEO Dana White to set up a fight against current light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. The pair wanted to clash at the White House, but it seems that will not happen after the Brazilian posted a message. Jones still wanted to fight Pereira but claimed that White is not keen on setting up this clash:
After retiring as heavyweight champion last year, the Rochester native was quickly brought back by talk of an event at the White House. But Dana White has rejected Jones’ return plans, calling him too unreliable for a main event spot in Washington D.C.
