Joao Felix's start to life at AC Milan has been a mixed bag so far, with the Rossoneri making an early decision regarding a permanent summer swoop.

While Joao Felix’s promising start at Milan—highlighted by a goal on his debut against Roma in the Coppa Italia—initially led the club to consider a permanent move, Calciomercato.com now reports that the Rossoneri have changed their stance.

AC Milan have decided against making Joao Felix’s move permanent in the summer after the forward’s underwhelming start to life in Italy. Felix completed a loan switch from Chelsea to Milan towards the end of the January transfer window in the hope of getting his stuttering career back on track.

Felix joined Milan in January in a straight loan and kicked off his spell impressively. However, the Portugal attacker's form has fallen away, leaving Milan coach Sergio Conceicao unimpressed. After defeat at Bologna last week, Conceicao said of his countryman: "He can't stay away from the goal and sometimes he moves in areas he shouldn't..."

Milan cannot afford to wait: they need to speed up to reach fourth place, before it becomes too late. That objective also passes through the feet of Joao Felix, whose fluctuating performances on the field risk becoming more and more a completely unpleasant habit.
