Jack Doohan says his Formula 1 race seat is likely coveted by all four of Alpine's reserve drivers, not just Franco Colapinto, as he heads into the Australian Grand Prix under pressure to perform.

Jack Doohan is making his Albert Park Formula 1 debut this weekend. He has officially begun his first season as a full-time driver for Alpine after working his way up the global motorsport ranks. Plenty of fans may also recognise his surname – one which is synonymous with an Aussie motorsport legend.

There are four reserve drivers, including Franco Colapinto, chasing Jack Doohan’s Alpine seat, but the Aussie isn’t too fazed as he has a contract for “at least this year, if not more”. Doohan has been the subject of many of this off-season’s rumours amidst claims his Alpine races are numbered.
