Prior to the disqualification of both McLarens in Vegas, Norris's position at the top of the F1 standings was much more secure. The Brit would have held a 30-point lead over Piastri, and a 42-point advantage over Verstappen. Ironically, Piastri is actually better off after the McLaren disqualification than before.
