Lewis Hamilton picked up some valuable track time at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya earlier this week, but it was not all plain sailing for the Brit with a crash on the second day of testing

The pairing of F1’s most popular driver and its most popular team has proven to be a marketer’s wet dream. However, as the focus shifts to the track, things aren’t going as smoothly for the seven-time F1 champion.

The incident happened during a three-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the team’s 2023 F1 car.

Taking to social media after the reported accident, F1 journalist Scott Mitchell-Malm wrote: "Lewis Hamilton crashed during Ferrari’s private test with its 2023 #F1 car at Barcelona. Made contact with the barriers and caused damage that can be repaired today.

It seems as though Lewis Hamilton might still be figuring out his footing at Ferrari's testing days. At least, based on the fact that the seven-time Formula 1 champion crashed during his second test day with the team, while testing in Spain.
