Authorities in New Zealand have arrested a 27-year-old woman after a 2-year-old girl was found stuffed into a suitcase on a bus.

A New Zealand woman was arrested on a child neglect charge Sunday after a bus driver found a 2-year-old girl alive in a suitcase that was stowed in the vehicle’s luggage compartment, authorities said.

Concerned, he immediately pulled the bag towards him, opening it to discover a two-year-old girl squashed inside. According to Radio New Zealand (RNZ), the child has been stored in the suitcase for almost an hour, wearing solely a nappy.
