Marshall was shot and killed in the early morning hours of his birthday, Friday, on Franklin and Lyndale Avenue near Mortimer's Bar. Minneapolis Police officers say they believe he was talking with a man inside a vehicle. The driver got out and shot him, then drove away. He died at the hospital.
