Wolf Fire initially started 3:09 p.m. June 29 in Riverside County, California. Since its discovery three days ago, it has burned 2,414 acres. A fire crew of 1,080 succeeded in containing 50% of the fire as of Wednesday evening. However, the cause is still being investigated.

The fires were mostly split between Riverside and San Bernardino counties, burning thousands of acres and forcing evacuations. As of Tuesday afternoon, just the Wolf Fire in Riverside County still had mandatory evacuations in place. Three of the seven were still at 50% or less containment and burned more than 20 acres as of Tuesday.

Wildfires in Riverside County prompted evacuations and road closures on Sunday afternoon as residents phoned 911 due to heavy, drifting smoke.
