Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) responded to Elon Musk‘s disparaging remarks by ditching his Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) car and choosing to drive something that's not from the electric vehicle sector. What Happened: Musk recently called Kelly a traitor for visiting Ukraine.

Standing near the U.S. Capitol, the Arizona Democrat echoed the growing sentiment of many left-leaning Tesla owners, who have come to regret that the electric vehicle is so closely aligned with the man spearheading President Donald Trump’s mass layoffs in the federal workforce.

The Arizona senator said his Tesla is a “rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people.”
