Fragments from a Russian drone triggered a fire and caused damage to an apartment building in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv early on Sunday, a senior Ukrainian official said.

Kyiv. Russia launched 14 ballistic missiles and dozens of drones at Ukraine’s capital overnight on March 24. It's one of the biggest combined aerial attacks on the Ukrainian capital of the three-year war, damaging several apartment buildings and injuring 15 people.

An air raid alert in Kyiv lasted for more than seven hours overnight, with warnings of incoming Russian missiles and drones.
