Met Eireann has issued a series of Status Yellow wind and rain warnings for counties in the north and west of the country. A w ind warning has been issued for Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo with possible impacts including d angerous travelling conditions, structural damage, fallen trees, debris and loose objects, power outages and wave overtopping.

The Met Office has issued a fresh warning ahead of Storm Floris' arrival in Scotland, upgrading its alert from yellow to amber. The warning is in effect from 10am until 10pm on Monday, with danger to life and damage to buildings also being warned of.

Weather warnings have been upgraded to amber for most of Scotland as Storm Floris bears down on the UK.The warning lasts from 10:00 BST on Monday through to 22:00 and warns of danger to life as damage to buildings and trees due to storm conditions is expected.
