President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron are starting their day by taking part in a virtual meeting with fellow leaders of the Group of Seven economies to discuss Russia's war in Ukraine.

French police arrested two men on charges of throwing explosive devices at the Russian consulate in Marseille, the prosecutor's office confirmed on Tuesday. The explosives, made with plastic soda bottles, were thrown at the consulate’s facade early Monday morning, coinciding with the third anniversary of the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.

Three projectiles were thrown over the perimeter wall of Russia's consulate in the southern French port city of Marseille on Monday, two of which exploded, Marseille police said.
