The crash of a Boeing 787 passenger jet in India minutes after takeoff on Thursday is the latest incident that adds to woes at the troubled U.S. planemaker.
British investigators have arrived in India to assist with the probe into the Air India plane crash as Indian teams recovered a second black box from the wreckage and continued combing the debris for evidence.
Air India said it has completed such safety checks on nine of its Boeing 787 aircraft and is in process to complete it for the remaining 24 planes.
The Turkish government has denied reports claiming that Turkish Technic carried out maintenance on the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that crashed after take-off from Ahmedabad. The clarification follows online speculation about possible technical lapses.
Loychusak, who is now 47, recently took to Facebook to share his shock after knowing that the only survivor of the recent crash in Ahmedabad was also seated in 11A. “The lone survivor of the plane crash in India was sitting in the same seat number as me, 11A. Goosebumps,” he wrote.
