Brian Fitzpatrick, a Pennsylvania Republican who is one of the most moderate in his party, was a surprising 'no' vote against advancing the bill. Unlike other Republicans who have voted 'no' and are now being courted in person by House Republican leaders, Fitzpatrick raced off the floor and away from the chamber after he voted no.

The House voted 219-213 overnight Thursday, after hours of delay, to advance President Trump's "big, beautiful bill" before a final vote, which is expected soon.

Several GOP holdouts flipped on a late-night procedural measure to clear the path for a vote on the megabill before Trump’s July 4 deadline.
